Brandie’s Mom, Terri Richards, left Friday and left us alone with the boy! ACK! Her help over these past two weeks was GREATLY appreciated and I can’t imagine getting through this ordeal without her. Thanks Mom! Now Brandie and I are turning our attention to getting a routine going with Zander. Wish us luck.
Zander is home! We have plenty of pictures to show everyone, but frankly I’m just too darned tired to groom and post them ;)
Just take comfort in the fact that a benevolent God does exist, family and friends are important, and everything is very right with the world today.
My new family and I love you all. Thank you for your support and get on me about posting new pictures to brian@phoenix-now.com :)

Zander is growing stronger and stronger every hour. Today, Brandie and I were able to feed him breast milk (which he took to immediately). Tomorrow the doctors would like to move him to his own room so Brandie and I can spend the nights with him until he arrives home. The current bet is that he will be home by Wednesday. If you have a bet you would like to place, please e-mail us at brian@phoenix-now.com.
We love you all and we’ll keep you posted..

Zander was taken off of his respirator this afternoon around 2:00pm. Tonight they are going to take his feed tube off and start to get him going on the breast milk. Since he has been on the respirator since Monday morning, Brandie and I have not been able to hear him coo or cry. Here are a couple of pictures and an MP3 of his cry…

Even though NOTHING is official at this point, I hope to have Zander home by Thursday of next week. Wish us luck and thank you all for your support!

As you may already know, Brandie and I had our first baby, Zander Jacob Gallutia, on Sunday, August 13, 2000.What you may or may not know is that Zander has been plagued with a congenital heart condition called Transposition of the Greater Arteries. Zander went into surgery on Wednesday morning and is now doing very well.
This site is VERY basic and is going to get a lot better when I find the time to spend some time with it (I plan on doing that this weekend). In the meantime, I have been asked to get some photographs together for everyone to see.
Following are those photographs. Again, I apologize for the uninteresting layout, but hopefully the pictures will make up for it.
God bless you all and we’ll keep you posted…
