To All:
I have decided to ‘hang it up’. The ‘early retirement’ offer was too good to pass up.
The retirement is effective 11/1/08 - 10/31 will be my last day of work and I need to take 5 days vacation between now and then.
Pray that Karen will survive this.
Love,
Dave
It finally happened…I’M ENGAGED!!! :-)
Kevin got down on one knee and proposed at a beautiful lighthouse right between White River and Lake Michigan just after sunset on Friday, July 18th. Isn’t he romantic? :-)
I just wanted to share the good news. There hasn’t been many plans discussed, but when I find out more details, I will definitely get in touch with everyone.
I hope you’re all enjoying your summer!!
Love,
Leslie
On Monday, Z & I visited Seldom Scene Farm, an alpaca & llama farm in Frankfort, for shearing day! It was awesome fun & I just wanted to share. I learned A LOT & cannot wait to go again!
The 3 pictures at the end of the group were added just in case you wanted to learn something! The 1st of the 3 is the raw fiber from the alpacas, right off of the cutting room floor. The second image is called roving, which is the fiber cleaned & combed, ready to be spun. The third is the beautiful finished product, a gorgeous hank of alpaca/merino blend yarn. YAAY!!!
This is, of course, Lily. She’s just so pretty I wanted to show her off. She’s getting so big, she barely looks like a puppy anymore!
